Mooreast has announced the appointment of Eirik Ellingsen as Chief Executive Officer, effective from 1 January 2025. Mr Ellingsen, a Norwegian with extensive experience in the offshore and marine sectors, will succeed Sim Koon Lam, the founder, who will continue as Executive Director and Deputy Chairman.
Currently, Mr Ellingsen serves as Director of Offshore Wind in the Asia Pacific at Norwegian Energy Partners (Norwep), an independent non-profit foundation. Based in Singapore, he will bring his expertise to Mooreast, a provider of mooring solutions for the offshore renewable energy, oil and gas, and marine industries.
Mooreast operates in Singapore and the Netherlands and is establishing a manufacturing facility in Aberdeen, Scotland, while expanding into the North East Asia market.
