David Hardy, Ørsted’s group executive vice president and chief executive Americas, is taking a new role as global chief commercial officer wind at GE Vernova.
After leaving the US Navy in 1998, Mr Hardy worked for GE for more than ten years. He subsequently worked in the US and abroad for two other wind turbine original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) for a combined ten years. While at Ørsted, Mr Hardy held senior roles in the US offshore business and led the company’s US operations for two years, overseeing offshore and onshore wind, solar, battery storage, and green fuels projects. Mr Hardy announced that he will formally leave his role at Ørsted on 30 November 2024.
