Siemens Gamesa has announced preliminary results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2025. Order intake for the quarter reached €2,435 million, a 51.9% increase compared to the same period last year (€1,565 million) and exceeding the consensus estimate of €2,065 million.
Revenue rose to €2,418 million, reflecting an 18.4% year-on-year increase from €2,043 million and surpassing the consensus forecast of €2,039 million. Profit before special items stood at a negative €374 million, improving from a negative €424 million in the previous year but slightly below the consensus estimate of negative €361 million. This corresponds to a negative margin of 15.5%, compared to negative 20.8% last year and the expected negative 17.7%. Free cash flow before tax was negative €568 million, a significant improvement from negative €1,150 million in the previous year. The company will publish its full earnings release for the first quarter of fiscal year 2025 on February 12, 2025.
