Unique Group has appointed Giovanni Corbetta as chief executive officer, effective from 1 July 2026. Corbetta has more than 30 years of leadership experience across the offshore energy, subsea, marine services, engineering and defence sectors. During his career, he has held senior management roles in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas, with experience in operations, business transformation, acquisitions and organisational integration.
Most recently, Corbetta held several senior positions at James Fisher & Sons, including strategic advisor to the chief executive officer, head of business excellence, managing director of the marine contracting division and managing director of JFD. His responsibilities included offshore and subsea operations, engineering services, manufacturing, project delivery and international business performance.
Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles at DOF Subsea, Hallin Marine and Saipem, where he managed offshore engineering projects and global marine operations.
Corbetta's experience includes subsea technologies, marine services, diving operations, offshore engineering, manufacturing, project execution and international operations management.
