Products and Technology that are Seldom Seen but Omnipresent
Seldom seen but omnipresent, the cables and cable systems that circle our planet are at the very heart of modern life, forming, as they do, the nerve tissue of developed industrial economies. Cables are to be found everywhere, carrying communications and energy. They are equally omnipresent in countless products we use every day and take for granted. These cable systems are vital for the successful operation of many different industries. All of these industries rely on a vast range of wires and cables for their controls, applications and data transmission. Nexans offers a full range of copper and optical fibre cables. In this article we give an overview of our products and a view on our industry.

A Consortium Heading for the Sea
The Dutch government has set a target for the development of 6,000MW of wind power in the Dutch part of the North Sea by 2020. In order to meet this target, knowledge and technical expertise is required to build and operate wind farms in a sustainable way. The provision of a subsidy to gain expertise and knowledge for this goal was the driving force in the formation of the consortium We@Sea.
