The American Clean Power Association (ACP) has launched a certification programme for clean energy professionals, providing an industry-developed, hands-on competency certification for wind, solar and battery energy storage technicians. GE Vernova, Leeward Renewable Energy and MasTec are the inaugural companies adopting the programme.
The certification provides a consistent, industry-recognised framework for validating technician skills, improving safety and operational performance, and supporting clearer career pathways for the clean energy workforce.
The programme is administered through ACP's newly established Institute for Safety, Workforce, and Operational Performance. ACP is also seeking additional companies to adopt the certification programme.
