Ørsted’s Generation UK Hub operates and maintains six offshore wind farms from Grimsby’s Royal Docks, supplying renewable electricity to homes and businesses.

Marco Polo Marine’s offshore wind division, PKR Offshore Co., Ltd. (PKRO), has signed a framework agreement with Siemens Gamesa for the deployment and charter of two commissioning service operation vessels (CSOVs). Under the agreement, PKRO will provide two new CSOVs to support Siemens Gamesa’s offshore wind projects in Taiwan on a non-exclusive basis.

Vestas has installed the final wind turbine at TagEnergy's Golden Plains Wind Farm in Victoria, Australia, marking the completion of turbine installation at the country's largest wind farm. Located about 100 kilometres west of Melbourne, between the rural towns of Rokewood, Skipton and Smythesdale, the project comprises 215 Vestas V162-6.2 MW wind turbines.

Deme has secured a contract to transport and install foundations for phase one of the Zeevonk offshore wind farm in the Netherlands. The project, jointly owned by Vattenfall and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners through its Energy Transition Fund I, will have a total installed capacity of around 1 GW.

The Swedish government has approved permits for two offshore wind farms within the country’s exclusive economic zone, while rejecting applications for 11 other projects due to concerns over impacts on national defence capabilities. The approved projects are Skyborn Renewables’ Fyrskeppet Offshore in the southern Bothnian Sea and Vattenfall’s Vidar project in the northern Skagerrak.

RWE has installed 36 of the 72 wind turbines planned for the 1.1 GW Thor offshore wind farm off the west coast of Jutland, Denmark. The Siemens Gamesa turbines each have a capacity of up to 15 MW, with hub heights of around 148 metres above sea level and rotor blades measuring 115 metres in length.
