RWE and TotalEnergies have chosen the port of Eemshaven in Groningen, Netherlands, as the base for turbine assembly and construction work for their joint offshore wind project OranjeWind in the Dutch North Sea. To this end, the OranjeWind joint venture has signed an agreement with Buss Terminal Eemshaven.

GE Vernova, in consortium with Drydocks World, has been awarded the Ostwind 4 project by 50Hertz, a German Transmission System Operator. The project involves the design, construction, and commissioning of a 2 GW High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) electric transmission system connecting an offshore wind farm to the German grid.

GE Vernova has informed the Town of Nantucket Select Board Chair Brooke Mohr that Vineyard Wind began installing blades on a wind turbine on Saturday, 14 December 2024, with work continuing throughout the weekend.

Alterric has placed an order with Nordex for the supply and installation of nine N175/6.X turbines for a project in Greece. The contract includes a 25-year service agreement for the turbines. The 56 MW Chalkidiki wind farm is Nordex's first project in Greece to use N175/6.X turbines.
