Nord/LB and W.E.B Group have confirmed that the Ariano (84 MW) and Apricena (12 MW) wind farms in Italy are now officially operational. Nord/LB provided W.E.B Group with a €113 million financing package for the development of both facilities, with the Export and Investment Fund of Denmark offering export credit agency (ECA) cover for the Ariano financing.

Ilsenburger Grobblech, a subsidiary of Salzgitter, has signed a contract with Siemens Gamesa to supply approximately 25,000 tonnes of heavy plates for the construction of 36 wind towers. These towers, known as the Siemens Gamesa GreenerTower, are designed with reduced carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2eq) emissions.
