OX2 has made an investment decision for two onshore wind farms in Finland, with a combined capacity of 472 MW. The investment exceeds €700 million, and the wind farms will remain under OX2’s ownership once completed. Construction is now underway, and the projects are expected to generate approximately 1.6 terawatt-hours of renewable energy annually.

Ilmatar has agreed to sell the Korpilevonmäki wind farm in Säkylä, Southwest Finland, to the UB Renewable Energy Fund, part of the Finnish asset management group United Bankers. The fund will initially acquire a 40% stake, with the remaining 60% to be transferred once certain conditions are met.

Kanadevia Corporation, Taisei Corporation, and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to work together on floating offshore wind power. Ørsted has received approval from the Offshore Infrastructure Regulator (OIR) for its feasibility stage management plan for the Gippsland Offshore Wind Farms 1 and 2, in Australia. The plan outlines how feasibility activities will be carried out safely and in compliance with the Offshore Electricity Infrastructure Act (OEI Act).
