CMS provider Bachmann Monitoring and engineering consultancy P.E. Concepts GmbH have joined forces to offer a solution to maximise turbine lifetime extension.
Through the partnership, Bachmann's systems deliver Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) measurements that optimise the analytical LTE assessment performed by P.E. Concepts. The SHM retrofit solution, consisting of sensor hardware, automation, and custom-built software, enables Bachmann to provide load and Eigenfrequency measurements. With these measurements, P.E. Concepts calculates the remaining useful lifetime instead of using traditional SCADA data and wind information. Owners and operators have complete access to all SHM data, allowing for better planning when it comes to economic decision-making during the extension period.
