We4Ce, a Dutch rotor blade design company, has completed validation tests in India for its new 2.5-3MW rotor blade, developed for Suzlon. The blade structure was designed in the Netherlands, while InDutch Composites Technology produced the mould and prototype in Vadodara, Gujarat, where Suzlon conducted load and fatigue testing.
The tests confirmed compliance with IEC 61400-5:2020, the industry standard for wind turbine blade integrity. We4Ce trained technicians in its infusion method, ensuring precise distribution of carbon fibres and epoxy resin. Following static load, dual-axis fatigue, and post-fatigue tests simulating a 20-year lifecycle, the rotor blade is now ready for serial production.
