Finnish wind energy service provider Arenso and Estonia-based renewable energy developer Utilitas Wind have signed an agreement to collaborate on the Saare-Liivi Offshore Wind Park. Arenso has been assigned to prepare the Basic Design for the project, with work starting in February and scheduled for completion by July 2025.
The partnership aims to develop a Basic Design package to support future design phases, permitting processes, construction planning, and operational planning.
Utilitas Wind is advancing the planning and design of the Saare-Liivi offshore wind farm, with around 80 wind turbines planned in the first phase. The project will have a total capacity of 1,200MW and an estimated annual electricity generation of over 5TWh.
The project is co-funded by the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency.
