Corio Generation has deployed Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) technology for offshore wind projects in the Philippines. In support of its development strategy, Vaisala LiDARs have been installed in the vicinity of sites in Guimaras and Cavite.These LiDARs will collect detailed information on the wind resources of two potential wind farms and will remain operational for at least 12 months. The company aims to develop up to five projects totaling 3GW in the Philippines, off the coasts of Cavite, Batangas-Mindoro, Iloilo, and Guimaras.
