Seaway VentusDogger Bank Wind Farm has signed a contract with Seaway7, part of the Subsea7 Group, to charter a second turbine installation vessel to support the continued development of the offshore wind project off the coast of England.

Under the agreement, the Seaway Ventus jack-up vessel will begin transporting and installing GE Vernova Haliade-X offshore wind turbines at the Dogger Bank site in mid-2026. This new contract adds to Seaway7’s existing role at Dogger Bank, where the company is already responsible for the transport and installation of monopile foundations and transition pieces across all three project phases. Installation work is complete at Dogger Bank A and substantially complete at Dogger Bank B. Turbine installation and commissioning is ongoing at Dogger Bank A, with the first phase of the project expected to be completed in the second half of 2025.

Dogger Bank Wind Farm is a joint venture between SSE Renewables (40%), Equinor (40%) and Vårgrønn (20%). SSE Renewables is overseeing construction, while Equinor will take over as operator once the project is complete. The wind farm is expected to operate for approximately 35 years.
