Enercon and BürgerEnergiepark Druiberg have signed a contract for the supply and installation of 13 E-160 EP5 wind turbines, with a total capacity of approximately 72 MW, for a community wind farm in Dardesheim, a district of Stadt Osterwieck in the Harz region, Germany.
For the first time, the project has incorporated the ‘Guidelines for Fair Wind Power Planning’ set by the host municipalities Stadt Osterwieck and Huy. These guidelines prioritise local economic benefits, citizen and municipal participation, and limit external investor influence to ensure the local community directly benefits from the wind farm.
