GE Vernova has announced the signing of several wind agreements in Spain during the second quarter of 2024. ERBI has selected GE Vernova for two wind farms in Castilla León, where GE Vernova also has a blade manufacturing facility.
GE Vernova will supply and commission a total of 16 units of the company’s 6.1 MW-158 metre wind turbines to the Casa Vieja wind farm and the Pedrejones wind farm, with eight turbines for each project. Deliveries are expected to start at the end of this year.
Additionally, GE Vernova will repower the Les Colladetes wind farm owned by Enervent in Catalonia, Spain, upgrading it with six of GE Vernova’s 6.1 MW-158 metre wind turbines and providing two new turbines of the same size. For Greenvolt, GE Vernova will supply, install, and commission five units of its 6.1 MW-158 metre wind turbines for the Barranco del Agua wind farm located in Andalucia, Spain.
