Greencoat Renewables has agreed to sell a portfolio of six onshore wind assets in Ireland to HitecVision. The net asset value-accretive transaction is expected to complete in June 2025.
The portfolio totals 115.7MW in net capacity and will be sold for €139 million in up-front consideration, with a further €17 million in non-contingent deferred payments due in 2026 and 2027. The sale includes full ownership of five wind farms with a combined capacity of 65.7MW, and a 50% stake in one of the company’s larger wind assets. Greencoat Renewables will continue to work with HitecVision and its newly created platform company to explore future value creation opportunities at the jointly owned site.
This transaction follows the November 2024 sale of the Kokkoneva wind farm in Finland. The company is also in advanced discussions to sell a significant minority stake in its 50MW Andella wind farm in Spain.
