Clearway Energy Group (Clearway) has announced that Cedar Creek Wind, its inaugural project in Idaho, USA, has achieved commercial operations.
Situated in Bingham County, the 152MW wind farm will generate sufficient electricity to power 41,000 homes annually. The commencement of operations marks the beginning of Clearway's 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with PacifiCorp, trading as Rocky Mountain Power in southeastern Idaho, USA. Wanzek Construction, Inc., a subsidiary of MasTec Renewables, oversaw the project's construction. Clearway initially acquired Cedar Creek Wind from rPlus Energies in 2021.
