"K" Line Wind Service Ltd (KWS), a subsidiary of the "K" Line Group, and Acteon have signed a non-exclusive memorandum of understanding (MOU) to collaborate on Japan’s Floating Offshore Wind project, including both demonstration and commercial phases. The MOU outlines how the two companies will leverage each other’s skills and services to support these initiatives.

As part of this collaboration, InterMoor, Acteon’s moorings and anchors brand, will provide mooring, transportation, and installation engineering support to KWS for the desktop study of the commercial project, as well as assist with the offshore installation of the demonstration project.

KWS has been actively involved in the floating offshore wind sector. In Japan’s Floating Offshore Wind Research and Development programme, under the NEDO Green Innovation Fund Phase 1, KWS conducted research on efficient mooring methods for large-scale floating offshore wind farms.
