wpd, in partnership with GPSS Group (Higashi Izu Wind Power Godo Kaisha), has signed a corporate power purchase agreement with Nomura Real Estate Development for the Higashi Izu Furusato onshore wind farm in Japan.
Located in Shizuoka Prefecture, about 120 km southwest of Tokyo, the project will have a total capacity of 7.48 MW and will comprise three Enercon turbines. Commissioning is planned for May 2026. Electricity and associated certificates will be delivered to Nomura Real Estate through the electricity supplier NF Power Services. The company will use the power to provide carbon-free electricity to its new Tokyo headquarters.
