Monashee looks to Lidar for wind studiesRenewable energy developer Green Switch Capital, now part of the Qair Group, is conducting wind and noise assessments with ZX Measurement Services over a period of 12 months at the proposed Monashee Wind Farm, located between Grantshouse and Duns, Scotland.

The four-turbine site covers an area of approximately 155 hectares, and the recent deployment of a ground-based ZX 300 wind Lidar and associated noise monitoring equipment allows for initial studies to be conducted with no significant impact on the locality. Wind speeds are assessed from ground level to the target turbine heights without the need to install a meteorological mast.
