ZX Measurement Services is supporting a noise monitoring study at the proposed North Logiealmond wind farm, a development by Muirhall Energy in Scotland. As part of the campaign, a ZX 300 wind lidar has been deployed to collect high-resolution wind data for correlation with acoustic measurements. This enables a more detailed assessment of potential noise impacts during the planning phase.
Monitoring wind-related noise is a key part of environmental due diligence and is used to support planning approval and community engagement. The ZX 300 captures wind data at hub height, improving the accuracy of environmental impact assessments and supporting a more efficient development process. All lidar data is made available through the ZX Data Portal, a secure cloud-based platform that offers near real-time access to project data. The portal provides Muirhall Energy with a centralised overview of system performance, wind conditions, and data quality, including wind speed and direction, turbulence, and environmental variables.
