Butendiek is a 288MW German offshore wind farm project. A total of 80 turbines of 3.6MW will be installed in the German North Sea. The project developer of the offshore wind farm is the German WPD group.
WPD has awarded the design, delivery and installation of the high voltage substation platform to the Belgian consortium CG, Fabricom and Iemants. CG will design, engineer and supply the high voltage substation with power transformers, high voltage and medium voltage switchgear as well as the auxiliary reactors and transformers. The substation will connect wind turbines at 33 kV to the 155 kV grid.
