NKT has secured two turnkey projects in Germany as part of its multi-year framework agreement with TenneT. The company will deliver 525 kV XLPE high-voltage direct current (HVDC) onshore and offshore power cable systems for the LanWin7 project and a section of the NordOstLink.
The contracts are expected to be called off between 2026 and 2027, with a combined value of approximately EUR 1 billion. The scope includes cable design, engineering, production, and on- and offshore installation. These latest awards bring the total number of projects NKT has secured under the framework agreement to five. The agreement runs until 2028, with an option for extension to 2031.
