RWE has signed an eight-year power purchase agreement with Carlsberg Sverige. Under the arrangement, Carlsberg will use electricity from the Örken onshore wind farm to operate its brewery in Falkenberg, Halland.
From January 2026 to December 2033, RWE will supply 25 GWh of electricity each year, covering about 80% of the brewery’s energy use in Sweden. The Örken site in south-western Sweden has eight turbines with a capacity of 26 MW.
