TotalEnergies has acquired a majority stake in two Danish offshore wind projects, Jammerland Bay and Lillebælt South, from European Energy and Sonfor. Both projects have received construction permits from the Danish Energy Agency, allowing development to proceed.
TotalEnergies now holds 85% of the share capital in the Jammerland Bay offshore wind project, which has a production capacity of 240 MW, and 72.2% of Lillebælt South, a coastal wind project with a 165 MW capacity. European Energy and Sonfor will remain minority owners in Lillebælt South, while European Energy retains a minority stake in Jammerland Bay. The electricity produced will be sold either on the wholesale electricity market or through power purchase agreements (PPAs).
