Vårgrønn has finalised the acquisition of PGGM Infrastructure Fund’s 288 MW Baltic 2 offshore wind farm shares. The company announced binding agreements for the purchase in November 2024.
Following necessary approvals and conditions being met, Vårgrønn now holds a 27.4% stake in the wind farm, while EnBW retains 50.1% ownership and manages operations and maintenance. Ärzteversorgung Westfalen-Lippe, a German pension fund, retains a 22.5% indirect stake. Vårgrønn is a joint venture between Plenitude, controlled by Eni, and Norwegian energy investor HitecVision.
