Green Marine UK is making a capital investment in a new subsea services department to support the UK’s offshore wind sector. This expansion, backed by financial support from Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE), includes the acquisition of subsea technology from Rovtech (Seatronics), Sonardyne, Norbit, Voyis, Tritech, Digital Edge Subsea, EIVA, and various other sensor providers.

The subsea services department, set to launch in late spring, will offer in-house turnkey solutions and data services. New capabilities will include general visual inspection (GVI), 3D surveys with real-time simultaneous localisation and mapping (SLAM) analysis, marine site characterisation, multibeam surveys, and operations and maintenance (O&M) monitoring, with a focus on subsea cables, pipelines, and offshore structures.
