Inyanga Marine Energy has taken over the operational management of the newly built hybrid utility vessel Tor Boreas. The vessel will be managed by Inyanga in cooperation with Tor Group. It is aimed at offshore wind work and can be used for a range of tasks, including geotechnical seabed surveys, remotely operated vehicle work, subsea inspections and diving support.
Tor Boreas measures 26.95 metres in length, 11 metres in breadth, 4.35 metres in depth and has a maximum draught of 3.5 metres. Equipment on board includes an offshore crane, a five tonne hydraulic A‑frame, a 25 tonne electric aft winch for towing and a bollard pull of 17 tonnes. The vessel was designed by Macduff Ship Design and built in Turkiye by Tor Marine of Tor Group. It is now based in Penzance, United Kingdom, and available for charter.
