Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm has launched a recruitment campaign for its operational phase, with applications now open for the first 10 local roles. The North Sea wind farm, located 15 kilometres off the Angus coast, will be operated from a new operations and maintenance facility currently under construction at the Port of Montrose.
At least 50 full-time positions will be required to operate and maintain the wind farm when it becomes fully operational next year. The roles will include positions with both Inch Cape and turbine supplier Vestas, which has a service agreement to maintain the offshore turbines.
The first vacancies include engineering, health and safety, control room and management positions. Most roles will be office-based or hybrid, with offshore visits undertaken as required using crew transfer vessels operating daily to the site.
The current vacancies include managers for health and safety, contracts and commercial, control room and engineering, as well as engineers specialising in wind turbine generators, foundations and balance of plant, high-voltage electrical systems and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA). Additional roles include works co-ordinator and performance lead.
Applications are open until mid-August, with successful candidates expected to start from the autumn.
Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm is jointly owned by ESB and Red Rock Renewables.
