Suzlon Group has appointed Ashok Ramachandran as President, India Business and Senior Managerial Personnel, effective 4 June 2026. Ramachandran brings more than 20 years of leadership experience across the energy, industrial products and vertical mobility sectors in India, Southeast Asia and Australia. He will report to Ajay Kapur, Chief Executive Officer of Suzlon Group.
Prior to joining Suzlon, Ramachandran served as Chief Operating Officer and board member at JSW, where he helped support the company's expansion from approximately 5 GW to 30 GW of capacity over a three-year period. Before JSW, he spent much of his career with Schindler Group. As Chief Executive Officer and President of Schindler India and South Asia, he was responsible for the company's operations across manufacturing, operations and research and development in the region. In his new role, Ramachandran will lead Suzlon's India business operations.
