The Titan Group has made the final investment decision to build a production facility for monopiles in Cuxhaven in northern Germany.
Up to €300 million will be invested with production ramping up in 2025. Monopiles with a diameter of up to 14 metres, a length of 140 metres, and a weight of 3,500 tonnes will be produced in the new facility. More than 600 jobs will be created.
With an annual production capacity of more than 500,000 tonnes, Titan Wind Energy GmbH will supply the offshore wind markets in the North Sea, Baltic Sea, and the USA. The construction of the new plant will begin in mid-2024. This includes two halls for welding and coating as well as the preparation of the floors for the heavy loads from the monopile production processes. At the same time, the construction of a storage area of 320,000 square metres has been started. Titan Wind was founded in 2005 in Suzhou, China.
