Venterra Group, an offshore wind energy services business, has announced the appointment of Ed Daniels as Chief Executive Officer. He joins the group on 1 October and replaces Philippe Kavafyan in the role of CEO.
Ed Daniels has been working in the energy sector or 35 years. As Strategy, Sustainability and Corporate Relations Director at Shell, he was part of the Executive Committee and oversaw the company's Strategy, Sustainability, and Corporate Relations organisations. Previously, he was Shells Executive Vice President of Strategy and Portfolio and CEO of the Shell Catalyst Company. He most recently led several industry-related projects for Bain & Co.
A qualified chemical engineer, Ed began his career as a technologist and he is a graduate of Imperial College and Henley Management College, and a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and the Institution of Chemical Engineers. He also holds an honorary doctorate from Imperial College London.
