European Energy has succeeded in a case against the Danish Energy Agency, as ruled by the Danish Energy Board of Appeal. The appeal board determined that the Energy Agency's rejection of European Energy's open-door applications did not comply with the law.
Andreas Karhula Lauridsen, head of offshore wind at European Energy, expresses satisfaction with the Energy Board of Appeal's decision, stating that it affirmed the Energy Agency's obligation to conduct a specific assessment of their open-door projects. The Energy Board of Appeal nullified the Energy Agency's rejection and returned the case for re-evaluation. Lauridsen anticipates the final outcome of this process. Furthermore, Lauridsen looks forward to the Energy Agency's specific assessment of their open-door projects. He notes that these projects have been developed in collaboration with various municipalities, which recognise the potential of utilising local offshore wind resources to support local green growth. Lauridsen announces that their joint projects will now undergo a realistic assessment based on local conditions.
