Muir Mhòr Offshore Wind Farm is funding two students to support the future of Scotland’s wind industry.
The offshore wind farm has awarded scholarships totalling £10,000 to Filoteea Moldovan and Shahim Asad, who are both studying for their Masters degrees at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow.
Filoteea is pursuing an MSc in Sustainability and Environmental Studies, while Shahim is enrolled in the MSc Offshore Wind Energy course. Over the next two years, four more students will receive similar scholarships as part of a £30,000 educational partnership between Muir Mhòr and the university.
The initiative is part of the wind farm’s commitment to strengthening Scotland’s offshore wind workforce, starting with school pupils and supporting skills development at all levels.
