Aker Solutions has unveiled three floating wind foundation designs: the YFloat, CONFloat-Omega, and CONFloat-7C.
The YFloat is a steel floating substructure designed for stability and efficiency. Its symmetrical design allows for easy pre-fabrication and local assembly, reducing material usage and simplifying manufacturing. The YFloat’s scalability supports higher power generation and a reduced levelized cost of energy (LCOE).
The CONFloat-Omega is a circular concrete floater with a moonpool at its center and an offset turbine and tower, built for harsh environmental conditions.
The CONFloat-7C builds on the proven CONDEEP designs, featuring a 7-cell configuration with a centralized turbine and tower. This design reduces integration and completion draught, offering flexibility in execution and port locations.
