Twin crew transfer vessels for Inch Cape at Port of Montrose 002Inch Cape has taken delivery of two new-build crew transfer vessels from UK marine contractor Mainprize Offshore. The vessels will operate from the Port of Montrose, transporting engineers and technicians to the offshore construction site. They will remain in service during the operations and maintenance phase under a five-year charter.

 

The two vessels, MO12 and MO14, can each carry up to 24 passengers and will be operated by locally based crews consisting of a master, engineer and deckhand. The 26-metre vessels have a bollard push of 21 tonnes, enabling personnel transfers in significant wave heights of up to two metres. The catamaran vessels also feature multi-fuel capability aimed at improving operational efficiency and reducing fuel consumption. They were designed by Southampton-based Walker Marine Design and built by Strategic Marine Group in Singapore.
