The Windpark Obergeckler, a joint project by green energy producer Alterric and Windenergie Tieltges, was officially inaugurated on 3 September 2024 .
Located in Obergeckler, in the Bitburg-Prüm district of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, the wind farm consists of five Enercon E-138 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 4.2 MW. Four of these turbines have a hub height of 160 metres, and one has a hub height of 130 metres. The operation of the wind turbines will be jointly managed by Alterric (operating two turbines) and Windenergie Tieltges (operating three turbines).
