The Danish Energy Agency (DEA) has opened a public consultation on the planned Lillebælt Syd offshore wind farm. Citizens, organisations, authorities, etc., now have the opportunity, in the period from 1 March 2024 to 26 April 2024, to make comments on the material for the Lillebælt South Wind Farm.
On 7 February 2024, the Danish Energy Agency approved the environmental impact report for the project. The consultation material being sent for consultation now consists of the Developer's – Lillebælt Syd A/S' application for an establishment permit, the approved environmental impact report, a draft of the Danish Energy Agency's establishment permit, the §24 decision, and the consultation note from the previous authority hearing. The project includes the installation of 11 offshore wind turbines on monopiles and will cover an area of 32 square kilometers, located in the Little Belt between Als and Helnæs on Funen, approximately 3 kilometers outside Als. The individual turbines will have a height of 256 meters, and the project will have a total capacity of 165 MW. The project is connected to the Lavensby Strand substation.
