DHL Group has agreed a long-term electricity supply contract with RWE Supply & Trading for the purchase of around 104 gigawatt-hours of electricity from renewable sources per year from 2026.
The electricity will be produced in the Kaskasi offshore wind farm in the German North Sea, which has been operational since the beginning of 2023. The Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) between DHL Group and RWE is set for ten years. With the energy from Kaskasi, the company covers approximately 19 percent of its current annual electricity demand in Germany. Kaskasi has 38 turbines and an installed capacity of 342 megawatts and is located 35 kilometres off the coast of Helgoland in the German North Sea.
