Eden Renewables has opted for the ZX 300 wind Lidar as its wind measurement tool to support onshore wind development plans for Bettyhill Wind Farm Phase 2.
The company acquired a ZX 300 wind Lidar and contracted ZX Measurement Services for wind resource campaign management to aid the proposed wind farm development in the Highlands of Scotland. Operational since 2013, Phase 1 of Bettyhill Wind Farm, with a 6 MW installed capacity, is situated on open moorland in Bettyhill Common Grazings (part of the Skelpick Estate in Sutherland). The planned Phase 2 extension aims to incorporate up to 10 turbines with a 49.9 MW installed capacity, projecting to generate 166,000 MWh of renewable electricity.
