Goldwind has announced the start of commercial operations at the 500 MW Red Sea Wind Farm in Egypt. The project features 84 units of its GW165-6.0MW turbines and represents Goldwind’s first wind power development in the country.
The wind farm is expected to supply electricity to over one million households, contributing to Egypt’s renewable energy targets. The official opening was attended by Prime Minister Dr Mostafa Madbouly and Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Dr Mahmoud Esmat.
