Kernel has signed a loan agreement with Denmark’s Export and Investment Fund (EIFO) to finance construction of its first wind power project, a 94.5 MW wind farm in central Ukraine. The wind farm will comprise 21 wind turbines supplied and installed by Vestas. The project will also include industrial battery energy storage systems to help balance power output during peak hours.
The financing amounts to €100 million and is provided under EIFO’s programme supporting investments in Ukraine. EIFO is Denmark’s national export and investment agency, providing financing for international projects involving Danish companies and supporting investments that contribute to sustainable economic development.
