China Ming Yang Wind Power Group Limited (Ming Yang) has announced that the company won its bid for a total of 200MW of its 3.0MW Wind Turbine Generators for a government authorised wind farm project in Hami area, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China.
Ming Yang will co-develop this Yandun No. 6 Wind Power Farm with Xinjiang Huaran Oriental New Energy Co. Ltd. Ming Yang's winning bid is equivalent to 67 units of 3.0MW Super Compact Drive (SCD) WTGs with an awarded total contract value of approximately RMB 824 million (approximately € 95 milion). The bid was launched in October 2010 and believed to be China's first onshore wind turbine generator auction for 2.5MW and above capacity turbines. Ten wind farm projects in total are expected, with four wind farms in Kushui town and six in Yandun town.
