Octopus Energy Generation has acquired 321 MW of onshore wind capacity across 17 sites. Following these transactions, Octopus now manages 67 onshore wind farms across Europe, including in the UK, France, Germany, Poland, Ireland, Sweden and Finland.
Its fund management team has invested €584 million in wind farms in France, Germany and Poland on behalf of the Sky fund.
In France, Octopus has acquired 143.5 MW of wind capacity, its largest renewables market in continental Europe. The assets span ten sites across Hauts-de-France, Grand Est, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, Brittany, Centre-Val de Loire and Nouvelle-Aquitaine, and include both operational projects and sites under construction.
In Germany, the company has acquired four wind farms with a combined capacity of 102.5 MW across Lower Saxony, Brandenburg, Hesse and Baden-Württemberg. Two of the projects are operational, while the remaining two are under construction.
In Poland, Octopus has acquired three operational wind farms with a total capacity of 75 MW in the north of the country. The transaction also includes access to a pipeline of renewable energy projects in development.
