OX2 has won contracts for the sale of electricity at government auctions in Poland, securing support for a 165 MW solar farm and a 40 MW wind farm. The 40 MW wind farm project, located in south-eastern Poland, will be OX2's eighth wind farm in the country.
In 2024, OX2 handed over three completed wind farms in Poland to investors. The 165 MW solar farm will be built in the south-western part of Poland and marks OX2’s second solar project in the country.
Last week, OX2 also secured contracts for two battery energy storage systems with a total capacity of 200 MW/400 MWh in the Polish main market auction. Currently, OX2 is working on the construction of the Bejsce wind farm, approximately 20 MW, and the Rutki solar farm, 100 MW. Additionally, OX2 manages wind farms with a total capacity of nearly 280 MW. By the end of the third quarter of 2024, OX2's development portfolio in Poland amounted to about 3.1 GW.
