PGE Group and Ørsted have signed an agreement with a consortium of Semco Maritime and PTSC Mechanical & Construction for the design, manufacturing and commissioning of offshore power stations for the Baltica 2 stage of the Baltica Offshore Wind Farm.
Four offshore substations – each equipped with two transformers – will collect power generated by wind turbines, transform it and export it to land. PGE and Ørsted expect to commission Baltica 2 (1.5 GW) by the end of 2027 and Baltica 3 (1 GW) by the end of 2029.
