Q Energy has begun construction on two onshore wind projects in the Occitanie region of France, both located in Cuxac-Cabardès. The first project replaces the original Cuxac wind farm, developed in 2006 and now at the end of its operational life.
Six new turbines, each 150 metres tall, will be installed on the same site, increasing capacity from 12 MW to 25 MW. Dismantling of the existing turbines began at the end of the summer. Alongside this, Q Energy is developing four additional turbines of similar size in the same municipality, adding 16 MW of new capacity. All turbines are expected to be commissioned in 2027.
