Ilmatar has agreed to sell the Korpilevonmäki wind farm in Säkylä, Southwest Finland, to the UB Renewable Energy Fund, part of the Finnish asset management group United Bankers. The fund will initially acquire a 40% stake, with the remaining 60% to be transferred once certain conditions are met.
Ilmatar acquired the project rights in 2021, after local landowners initiated the development. The company oversaw the final stages of the project, which has a total capacity of 38.4 MW. Despite the sale, Ilmatar will continue to operate the wind farm.
A ten-year power purchase agreement (PPA) has been signed with Mondelēz International for the renewable electricity generated at Korpilevonmäki.
