Tata Power Renewable Energy, the renewable energy subsidiary of Tata Power, has commissioned a 198 MW wind project in Karur, Tamil Nadu, India. The project will supply power to Tata Steel under a group captive model and comprises 55 wind turbine generators, each with a capacity of 3.6 MW.
Following commissioning, Tata Power Renewable Energy’s total renewable portfolio stands at 11.6 GW, of which 6.2 GW is operational and the remaining 5.8 GW is at different stages of development.
